Modeling digitals guide

Digitals (sometimes called polaroids) show your real proportions and skin—no heavy retouch, no glamour lighting tricks.

What to wear

  • Simple, fitted solids: black or white tank/tee, dark jeans or leggings.
  • Clean hair, natural makeup (or none) unless instructions say otherwise.
  • Neutral undergarments that won’t show under basics.

What to shoot

  • Full length front, full length side, tight beauty head-on.
  • Optional: 3/4 and a smile shot if the brief asks—always follow the brief first.

How to shoot

  • Even daylight near a window or soft overcast outdoor—avoid harsh noon sun.
  • Plain wall or seamless; step back for full body so feet are visible.
  • Keep horizon straight; camera at chest height for full body.

After the session

  • Pick the set where you look like you on a good Tuesday—not “event you.”
  • Light color correction only; no face reshaping for digitals.
  • Label files clearly if submitting multiple looks.
