Audition Description

Now casting voice over talents to work on an upcoming fandub.

  • Role #1 - Fred Jones

For many years, in the first period of his ascot days, he was the level-headed and stoic leader. Although in the later years, when he had become a mystery novelist, he showed signs of possible fear of being arrested after it was believed he was the Red Skull. He's also more reckless than Daphne and Velma when it comes to soving mysteries as he would ignore being told to stay out of it and jumped at the chance to help.

    Gender: Male
    Ethnicity: Any
    Age: 13 - 17
    Expiration Date: Dec 12, 2019
  • Role #2 - Daphne Blake

While not as smart as Velma Dinkley, Daphne would always solve her problems in a different way. She later became more confident and started playing a more active role as time went on, having learnt self defense. In junior high, Daphne was more vain and fashion sensitive, likely to stop in the middle of investigating due to a dirt patch on her clothes, than being afraid of ghosts (which she had a strong disbelief in). She would commonly call upon her butler, Jenkins, to do various tasks, such as ridding her of people, beating a monster up, etc.

  • Role #3 - Scooby-Doo

Scooby-Doo and Shaggy share several personality traits, mostly being constantly hungry, being scared easily and most of the time refuse to help others, but their friends (Velma Dinkley, Daphne Blake and Fred Jones) encourage them to go after the costumed villains usually with "Scooby Snacks", a biscuit-like dog treat or cookie snack (usually shaped like a bone or as shown in later versions of the cartoons Scooby's dog tag), though occasionally appealing to Scooby-Doo inherent loyalty and courage to take a more heroic stance. His catch phrase, usually howled at the end of every mystery, is "Scooby-Dooby-Doo!" or "Rooby-Rooby-Roo", sometimes followed by a quirky chuckle. He enjoys a lot of attention and would sometimes appear brave and heroic. When he solves cases with his nephew Scrappy-Doo, he's very protective of him, as he often runs after him to prevent him from going straight to the monster or ghost.

    Talent specs:
    Gender: Male
    Ethnicity: Any
    Age: 18 - 60
    Expiration Date: Dec 12, 2019
  • Role #4 - Scrappy-Doo

Scrappy idolized his uncle Scooby and would often assist Scooby and his friends in solving mysteries. With a highly energetic and brave personality, despite his small size, Scrappy was the opposite of his uncle; Scrappy would usually insist on trying to directly fight the various monsters Scooby and his associates encountered. But, there were times when he showed a little cowardice. When he started traveling with Scooby, he was very naive on how do deal with danger, but as he gets older, he learned that there's a time to be bold and to retreat. He feels great sadness when he feels that the people he loves is gone for good as shown when he thought Scooby was taken to Ancient Arabia with genies and when Daphne fell into an eternal slumber and won't wake up.

  • Role #5 - Sally McKnight

Sally McKnight (AKA Thorn) - Upon the gang's initial sighting of her, she is shown to be very mysterious and her traditional Wiccan medicinal remedies cause the gang to conclude that she is a witch as traditional folklore describes them. Yet, upon further explanation, Thorn is shown to be quite kind. She seems to really care about her friends. And also her mother was out of town doing doctor stuff and also her ancestor was the Wiccan, who sealed Sara Ravencroft. After the sealing, she married the town leader and became the town doctor, and her community was accepted by the puritans. Thorn is shown to be somewhat unsure of her abilities as a Wiccan, but embraces it with some encouragement from Velma. She grows in courage and confidence following the events of the Sarah Ravencroft; when Wild Wind attacked her and her bandmates during their concert, she seemed angry rather than scared, telling the vampires that they were "ruining [the hex girl's] encore." She didn't seem worse for wear either after being left in the Australian outback for several hours. Thorn also has a sense of humor - albeit a somewhat dark one - and she cares deeply about her father and friends. She has a fascination with the supernatural and all things "spooky." Thorn apparently has an interest in the natural world and is concerned about preserving the environment, as she describes herself as an "eco-goth." The song she and her band perform at the Oakhaven Autumn Fest, "Earth, Wind, Fire, and Air", is a further indicator of this.
