Audition Description

Based on the 2005 DreamWorks animated film, Madagascar: A Musical Adventure follows all our favorite crack-a-lackin' friends as they escape from their home in New York's Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien's Madagascar. Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle. He and his best friends – Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo – have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals. Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him though and makes his escape!


Please come with sheet music to a prepared song (16-32 bars) from a contemporary or traditional musical other than Madagascar. An accompanist will be provided. Have a second song prepared in the event you are asked to sing again. Dress to dance.
