The setting is Rydell High and the senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their Summer Nights as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as Greased Lightnin', It's Raining on Prom Night, Alone at the Drive-In Movie, and more. Actors should be aged 17 and over, bring a headshot and prepare the following for auditions: 1. 32 bars of a song, preferably in the style of the show but not from Grease itself. 2. You may bring sheet music or a backtrack to accompany your song, but it's not required. 3. There will be a short dance call. Please bring dance attire and jazz shoes. 4. No monologues for this audition.
