Synopsis: "We Will Not Be Silent" tells the true story of Sophie Scholl, a German college student who led the only act of civil resistance to the Nazis during World War II. Sophie and her fellow students, members of a group called the White Rose, published underground anti-Nazi materials calling for the peaceful overthrow of Hitler. This play examines the moral strength and courage that led a group of students to risk their lives for a righteous, dangerous cause. The play is potently relevant today, as modern Sophie Scholls fight for freedom and democracy in various places across the world.
