Audition Description

PROJECT SYNOPSIS
Self Portrait is a High Concept story which shows how self-judgmental and harmful we can be with ourselves when we are creating or working on something, it can get to feel like we are transporting ourselves to dark world. This is what happens to the main character in this story Clarissa, an artist who has a hard time creating her next project and ends up transporting herself physically into the darkest place of her mind where a part of her, (her alter ego Cora) brings up her biggest insecurities, by displaying them as an art exhibition, but later she realizes that she is enough and is giving the best of herself.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols: Mask and face shields are always required for the crew on set. Actors are asked to wear their masks at all times except for when rolling.

  • Role #1 - Clarissa

    This is the lead role. Clarissa, a hard-working aspiring artist who throughout the years has fought to get where she is standing, but at times her insecurities consume her and lacks self-love, which is when she transports herself to a dark world where she is challenged to stand and realize her value.

Sarcastic, mocking and intimidating, she lives in the darkest place of the protagonist's mind, trying to prevent her from achieving her dreams and hopes.

Role in a short film... Hello everyone! I want to thank ExploreTalent for this cool opportunity! I am very excited to play a doctor for the short film called "Moment of Life" by Manuel Valerio.
