Audition Description

This film is a short film inspired by the book series "Divergent" by Veronica Roth. The film takes place in the same universe as the Divergent series, but does not include any of the characters from the series.

Rayna had a plan. She and her best friend Emery would both choose to transfer to Dauntless, the faction known for bravery, at the choosing ceremony. But Emery follows his own heart and finds himself a life in Erudite, and the plan is destroyed. Rayna can either accept his decision and learn to embrace the life she thought she always wanted, or chase after Emery and the life she used to hate.

  • Role #1 - Rayna

    Growing up in Amity (the faction known for peace), Rayna hated her life. She longed for more and has wanted to live the life of a Dauntless for as long as she can remember. When she chooses Dauntless but her best friend doesn't join her, she finds the tougher life to be much harder than expected. She is headstrong, tough, and yet sensitive (though she tries to hide it).

He finds himself there and becomes more confident, but he wishes Rayna could understand his happiness and let him live his life.
