Audition Description

It's 2087, 40 years after "The Flare" knocked Humanity down a peg. Jake is a sought-after tech scavenger, but when loses everything and barely escapes with his life, he accepts a longshot, high-risk scavenging job to get out of his desperate situation and win back what he's lost, making an interesting ally along the way. Turns out the wasteland can have some personality once you get to know it better.

All actors must be comfortable with participating in some very basic fight choreography and working around very low-key pyrotechnics (ex. squibs on nearby surfaces).

  • Role #1 - Zipp

    An imposing man who is good at getting what he wants, and is paid well to do so. He does the dirty work for anyone, for the right price. He's reliable and quick to exert dominance over others, as a consequence of surviving as a delinquent youth in the wasteland, where might often makes right. However, he tries to be fair (in his view) to those under his authority.

    A sharp-eyed, energetic enforcer in the regular employ of Zipp. He's worked with Zipp long enough to be on the same wavelength with him. He sends some of his ill-gotten earnings to his mother and younger brother who have been deported from Respite city 4 times after being caught with fake IDs, masquerading as citizens of the city.

    Everyone's last-choice hire. He's wild, though he has enough sense to fear an obey Zipp 's orders. He has few qualms; the addictions he fosters drain his wallet and put him perpetually in Zipp's back pocket. Ever since he was a kid, he's dreamt of becoming a real bonafide pirate, leaving the desert sands for the sand and spray of the coast. He's sort of a pirate now though, if all that means is robbing people left and right.
