We are getting ready to film our next program that will focus on a myriad of learning points facing teenagers today. This project is in partnership with the Naval Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps, that is meant to serve as an update to our previous projects that focus on teenagers in a high school setting as they navigate through personal, social and community based predicaments. The film will shoot from July 12th to August 6th in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area, with locations still pending, but also may not be metro accessible. We will be following COVID protocols that WILL created using the LA, British, and Australian guidelines as well as things we learned on our last full scale production. Some of the protocols include: mask wearing at all times, unless you are filming a scene. Isolation of actors when not filming by making sure they have private areas that they can be, take their masks off, and relax. Adding additional air flow and venting solutions to our location. Filming to take advantage of both cast and crew being 6 feet apart, unless masked and unable to do so. Temperature taking and self reporting paperwork every morning. Hiring a COVID officer to not only remind everyone of procedures every morning, but to make sure that all cast and crew are following guidelines and helping to create solutions to situations that could become difficult. And a few others.
Rate for this project will be the standard WILL rate. That is a flat rate for the first 4 hours of filming of $125. So if you work 5 mins or 4 hours you will make a flat $125. After that we move to an hourly rate of $33 an hour. We usually work a 10-12 hour day so that usually comes out to between $323 and $389 for the day. We provide 1 meal on set for every 6 hours of filming. Craft Services (all single packaged) will be available at all times. If you need to have a rehearsal or costume fitting we will add $25 to your invoice for any or all of those. Since this will be filming locally there is no travel or housing stipend available.
