Audition Description

"The Hall Monitor" a family-friendly comedy for anyone to enjoy! However, once we are finished shooting that, we are keeping the ball rolling with "Calvin is a Killer" a found-footage horror that switches things up a bit. What if you saw a found-footage film that completely did a 180 and back again, showed the killer's POV? That's what we are doing here with Calvin Is a Killer.

  • Role #1 - Calvin

    The main character; The filmmaker; The killer of course; needs to have real physical aggression about him though somewhat theatrical; Calvin is never seen in full throughout the movie except in a disguise toward the very end. His actions are reminiscent of a \"personal Columbine effect\" Audition Monologue #1: (The Shining) \"Have you ever had a single moment\'s thought about my responsibilities?! Have you ever thought for a single solitary moment about my responsibilities to my employers?! Has it ever occurred to you that I have agreed to look after the Overlook Hotel until May 1st?! Does it matter to you at all that the owners have placed their complete confidence and trust in me, and that I have signed a letter of agreement – a contract – in which I have accepted that responsibility?! Do you have the slightest idea what a moral and ethical principle is?! Do you?! Has it ever occurred to you what would happen to my future if I were to fail to live up to my responsibilities? Has it ever occurred to you?! Has it?!\" Monologue #2: (Falling Down) \"I\'ve passed the point of no return. You know when that is? That\'s the point in a journey where it\'s longer to go back to the beginning than it is to continue to the end. It\'s like when those astronauts got in trouble when they were going to the moon. Somebody messed up and they had to get them back to Earth but first they had to go around the moon. They were out of contact for hours. Everybody waited breathlessly to see if a bunch of dead guys in a can would pop out the other side. I\'m on the other side of the moon now and everybody will have to wait until I pop out.\"

Monologue #2: (Karate Kid Part III with lib) "Hey, don't even think about backing out, man, cause then I'll really be pissed. And this, this will all seem like a happy memory compared to what I do to you. You got three days to get it done. You don't, I'll fucking find you and beat your ass till it hurts to fucking breathe"

    Beautiful; sweet girl; dream date; main feature is her hypnotic eyes; Notice: This film has a scene where Marley has sex against her will with Calvin (but it is not seen) at gunpoint. However, actress must be comfortable with going topless for a brief moment. Must sign a waiver that obtains consent and a statement from the director that said actress will be doing this action for business purposes only and nothing more. Additional Measures will be taken to make sure actress is both safe and comfortable shooting this scene. Monologue #1: (Pretty Woman) " When I was a little girl, my mama used to lock me in the attic when I was bad, which was pretty often. And I would… I would pretend I was a princess, trapped in the tower by a wicked queen. And then suddenly, this knight, on a white horse, with these colors flying, would come charging up and draw his sword… and I would wave, and he would climb up the tower, and rescue me. But never in all the time… that I had this dream… did the knight say to me, "Come on, baby, I'll put you up in a great condo." Monologue 2: (Glee) We met right here. I took this man's hand and we ran down that hallway. Those of you who know me know I'm not in the habit of taking the hands of people I've never met before, but I think that my soul knew something that my body and my mind didn't know yet. It knew that our hands were meant to hold each other, fearlessly and forever. Which is why it's never really felt like I've been getting to know you. It's always felt like I was remembering you from something. As if in every lifetime that you and I have ever lived we've chosen to come back and find each other and fall in love all over again, over and over, for all eternity. And I just feel so lucky that I found you so soon in this lifetime because all I want to do, all I've ever wanted to do, is spend my life loving you.
