To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven. Such is the story of four drifting souls, searching for purpose in a world of chaos.
Pastor Clark is a wise and seasoned leader of a church and community. A war vet. A lost and found soul himself. But recently in these later years, his impact seems to have lost its touch, particularly on a young man named Reggie, a high school student struggling with deep social issues. The two work through a seemingly curious struggle, we only later discover is a devastating incident from the young man's past. His waking life haunted by a trauma he never saw coming and didn't deserve.
The pastor's work may be cut out for him, but he also once thought the same thing of Ruth Samuels, and she's turned quite the corner until a recent road block. A reformed wild child and addict, Ruth along with her son, 5 year old David, live together in a small apartment. Every month might be tight but they're getting by, and more importantly getting further away from her past. The past, however, has a way of finding us sometimes. Ruth's problems all come by the name of Doug, her ex and subsequently father of David. He's a small time hustler, a wanna be pimp, who uses Ruth by feeding her temptations and threatens the stable life she's built for her and David.
And while everyone in town battles their own demons in the comfort of their homes, one man is forced to live with his demons in the street. Paul Westlyn, an Afghanistan war vet with PTSD, struggles to make everyday come together as he most recently has found himself without a home. On the street he learns what rockbottom really is. A new friend helps change his perspective but at a high cost, leaving him to search even deeper.
Second chances don't come free and are worth fighting for. Clark, Reggie, Ruth, and Paul must discover that purpose and reason might not show up together, but time reveals all, and God is writing the story.

A grizzled but warm and strong community leader and pastor of a tiny church in a small town in Florida has found his self confidence wavering. Having helped counsel numerous people in the past, Clark has one case, a 16 year old boy named Reggie, who seems to be just out of reach. But he's not giving up.
Paul has found the end of his rope. He's an Afghanistan war vet with PTSD who's recently become homeless. His circumstances begin at bad and go to worse while a pill dependency holds him down. Deep down he's a good person but is very reactionary to his tortured circumstance.
Reggie was a normal kid. Athletic. Hard-working. Bright future despite his lower socioeconomic upbringing, living with his mother, Yvette, and his 4 younger brothers. But the Reggie of today is empty and withdrawn - angry at the world - because of a haunting not-so-distant memory.
Ruth Samuels is living her second chance. A reformed addict and prostitute, Ruth now lives for her 5 year old son, David. She knows how lucky she is to have survived her former life, and owes it all to Pastor Clark. Her only want of providing a good life for the two of them is challenged by her past life re-emerging.
Supporting Doug is Ruth's ex husband and gateway to her troubled past. He's a wanna-be pimp and small time drug dealer. He's also the father of Ruth's 5 year old, David, but unaware of his paternal claim, having spent the last half decade in prison. Recently released on a plea deal, he torments Ruth with his sick desire to now be a family.
Lucas, on the outside, is a smart-ass typical punk teen. Arrogance and attitude lead the way. But underneath, Lucas is alone. He lives in a silent type of pain. After years of being rejected by a series of step mothers and his rich father, Lucas is sent to live with his grandfather, Clark, a church pastor in a small Florida town. Although he walks with a cocky attitude, he's a time bomb of emotion.
