â€¢ Process all necessary human resources and accounting paperwork in a timely manner, including over-hire paperwork, timesheets, accident reports, spending requests, and expense reports.
â€¢ Reports an updated budget weekly to the Production Manager
â€¢ Collaborates with staff to fulfill all institutional goals
â€¢ Participates in future season and facility planning
â€¢ Communicates scenic needs, concerns, and events to Production Manager.
â€¢ Attend design presentations, production meetings, tech note sessions, run-throughs, rehearsals and previews as assigned.
Management and Scheduling:
â€¢ Coordinates with Production Management to assure that each production is installed on time and within budget.
â€¢ Collaborates closely with the other department heads in the safe, cost-efficient and timely construction, load-in, and strike of each production.
â€¢ Collaborates with the other department heads to ensure scheduling of stage time, needs concerning construction, and modifications needed to help any other department.
â€¢ Works with each production department head to ensure a timely load-in of each production.
â€¢ Ensures that all shop personnel are trained in the proper use and maintenance of all power tools and mechanics necessary for daily use in the shop.
â€¢ Oversees the inventory and maintenance of all stock scenery, soft goods, and saved scenic units.
â€¢ Ensures inventory of construction materials, hardware, and expendables needed for each production as well as yearly upkeep for the scene shop.
â€¢ Participate in season planning which includes reading scripts, preliminary budgeting, and preliminary scheduling.
