The Sky on the Skin was written by Mexican playwright Edgar ChÃas, and has been translated into English by Santiago FarÃas Calderón to be produced for the first time in Canada. The unconventional format of the piece uses raw, violent, and unapologetic language in multiple storylines to convey the reality of women in misogynist cultures where violence is part of daily life and safety cannot be taken for granted. The setting is specifically vague as it conveys the feeling that this could be anywhere and everywhere (because it is...). PAID OPPORTUNITY, NON-UNION The base honorarium for performers is $200 for the whole rehearsal/play period; to this we will add the corresponding percentage according to box office revenue to be divided among the production team.
