Seeking a highly skilled Sound Engineer/Assistant Technical Director for itâ€™s 2019-2020 National Touring Company. The successful candidate will be well versed in all areas of technical theater and have extensive knowledge of sound and lighting. Requirements include expertise in the setup and operation of various theatrical audio systems, plus previous experience using QLab playback software and mixing at least 7 channels of wireless microphones. He/she must be able to communicate effectively and have a strong grasp of time management and troubleshooting skills.
The multifaceted position includes but is not limited to the following:
â€¢Supporting the touring Stage Manager/Technical Director in advancing 60+ venues and directing local union and nonunion crews for load in and load out.
â€¢Assisting in the loading/unloading of truck and set-up/strike.
â€¢If necessary, assisting SM and local crews in completion of light hang and fine focus
â€¢Working with all venues audio equipment and technicians
â€¢Running audio playback and wireless microphones throughout all rehearsals and performances.
â€¢Repairing and maintaining scenic elements (with SM and Companyâ€™s assistance)
â€¢Providing general assistance in all technical areas.
Pay: $425.00 plus $245.00 (Per Diem or food allowance) per week
Applicants must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and be willing to drive a 26-foot box truck. Dallas/Fort Worth area residency is a plus.
