The Irishman

‘The Irishman’ Starring Robert de Niro Casting Call for Hairdressers

Holly| September 7, 2017

Director Martin Scorsese is set to begin production for his newest film, The Irishman, with Robert de Niro. Casting directors are currently on the hunt for Italian American actors willing to work as extras for the movie. Filming started mid-September and will extend early this year.

De Niro will play the role of Frank Sheeran, a labor union official accused of having links to the Bufalino crime family. Sheeran infamously confessed to murdering his fellow Teamster leader Jimmy Hoffa in 2003, but the body was never found. Sheeran also claimed Hoffa wanted to have former president John F. Kennedy killed.

Female hairdressers are needed for a certain scene filming on February 12, 2018. Because the film is set in the ’50s, interested talents must steer away from contemporary style such as fashion colors, highlights, streaks, ombres, and fake nails. They must also be willing to chop their locks up to the chin area.

Casting directors are looking for 5’6″ women with slim figures. Talents need to be comfortable working around atmospheric smoke.

This scene is scheduled to shoot on Monday, February 12, but may be subject to change. This will be an interior day shoot.
