Dinosaurs will once again roam the Earth in the upcoming installment of the Jurassic Park franchise.
A few details about the plot reveal that the story will be set sometime 22 years following the events of Jurassic Park. Here the infamous Isla Nublar is a fully functioning dinosaur themed theme park. The new park is eventually owned by the Masrani Corporation. Overtime, its declining attendance from its patrons eventually prompted the management to look for some new attractions.
However, as most movie plots go, this idea of a new attraction does not go so seemingly well.
Guardians of the Galaxy actor, Chris Pratt, heads the ensemble as Owen, a member of the Jurassic on site staff who are conducting behavioral research on Velociraptors.
Joining Pratt in the upcoming Jurassic franchise are actors Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson and Vincent D’ Onofrio.
The movie has been under development since 2001 and producers originally had planned on making a 2014 release for the movie. It did not materialize due to conflicts between the writers and the studio. Director Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly both co-wrote the script.
The Jurassic franchise is based on the bestselling novel of Michael Crichton of the same name which features the dire effects of biological tinkering similar to that of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
The first ever Jurassic movie first came out 1993 starring Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern. The movie goes on to span two more movies.
The movie will be directed by Colin Trevorrow.
Jurassic World is slated for release sometime in 2015.
