|I have memorized (complete soundtrack songs and scores, word-for-word, scene-for-scene, character-for-character verbatim): the entire 6 Star Wars movies, Julius Caesar, the Karate Kid 1-5, the 3 Ninjas four-pack, Spiderman 1-3, the first 13 VeggieTales movies made, Thomas the Tank Engine movies, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, the 3 Lord of the Rings special Edition movies, The Emperor's New Groove, the 1989 Batman and its three sequels, The Matrix 1-2, and (Disney's) Pinocchio. I have probably failed to mention a few other movies and shows here and there...What I would usually do here is learn the pauses/reactions/facial expressions of the characters/their verbal timing and gestures/the physical settings...and then recreate them in my mind throughout the day. Some movies I would watch 'for months straight'(sometimes even re-playing the movies and listening to them as background noise while doing other things).I would compete in challenges with friends, growing up, to see who could memorize certain movies in shorter time spans...and we'd replay/and relive the scenes in a very "geek-like" but accurate manner. I have also acted and played out innumerable roles in the forms of monologues, scene reads, cold reads (for and not for teleprompters: cueprompter.com is a great new resource I've recently been using...), product advertisements, and commercials. Through all of this soaking in of information, I am able to say that I've learned a bit about the diversified world in which we live, and how it operates.
