About Me: My name is Soyal Smalls and I am an aspiring actor. I started my first acting gig when I was 6 years old working on a T.V. pilot called the Jelly Bean Sprouts and have been having fun chasing the dream ever since. Most of my experience is with live performance and stage since I've studied with multiple theater companies and minored in theater arts performance in college at SUNY New Paltz. I am a local Poughkeepsie resident and I was looking for audition opportunities this summer. I love working with kids, since I can be one myself. For me, one of my favorite past times is watching childrens films/T.V. shows have reminded me to continue laughing and have fun. If I'm not reliving my childhood I'm enjoying the world of music. I played the clarinet for 8 years which gave me a great appreciation for Jazz. I love to dance and my friends say I have musical turrets because when I'm feeling good I'll break out in song and dance to express the moment.
