About Me: My Name is Sherlana a.k.a Lana a.k.a Lanakins. Like my Name, I am unique and that is how I would describe myself as an Recording Artist. I was born in Guyana but grown and raised in Canada where I learned French as a second language. My Debut Single Entitled “Hooked” provides a hint of my linguistic skills as the introduction is in French although the song itself is sung in English. My style as an artist is unique because I put my heart, soul and personal touch to any project I do. My music is best described as a collection of my own personal experiences and opinions as well as the stories of those closest to me.

I am no stranger to the entertainment industry, and I have shared the stage with several well-known international artists including: the Mighty Sparrow, Calypso Rose, Rupee, Bunji Garlin, Shurwayne Winchester and Machel Montano also Reggae artists like Beenie man, Morgan Heritage, Everton Blender and Elephant Man.

I have toured Europe and the United States, where I performed alongside my father at the World Reggae Music Awards in Atlanta and I have made appearances in several Caribbean countries.

While my passion is music I am also a talented Actress. I began my Acting career as a Pampers Baby believe it or not! Since then, I have made appeareances on TVO Kids the "Bodsquad",Hosted various local events such as the 1st Jerk & Jazz Festival in Toronto.

I also hosted a Music Televesion Program called Music Flava TV where I was afforded the opportunity to interview International stars like: P.Diddy, Wyclef Jean and more.

As a Recording Artist and Actress I strive to captivate the world with my voice and heartfelt performances that this and future generations can relate to and enjoy time and time again. I'm at the point in my career where I am is ready to share my talent with the world.
