Samuel Haye's Modeling Jobs, Acting Auditions and Additional Experience
About Me: Hey ALL! My name is Samuel Haye, better known by my moniker, Sam Haye. I am a 20 year old young man, who is in love with LIFE! I am a Christian, who by faith adheres to the apostolic doctrine and pentecostal experience. I LOVE THE DISNEY CHANNEL & I aspire to work for the network, someday. Hey, what can I say? I'm a DREAMER. Currently, I am an independent music artist, bringing a breath of fresh air to the hip-hop genre. My songs are filled with beautiful melody & positive, substantive, inspirational lyrics; designed to relate, uplift, motivate, & bring awareness to the times in which we live. You can check out some of my music in the mp3 section of my profile. In high school, I played point guard/shooting guard on the varsity basketball team. Prior to my musical aspirations, my passion & main focus was basketball. (Don't think that because I said, "was", that I fell off or that my skills are rusty. No, TRUST ME, I STILL GOT GAME!) I love to be transparent & have a sense of humor about life. I'm a serious guy, but people who take life too seriously tend to miss out on the beauty of simplicity. I'm very ambitious & focused on conquering my goals, but I'm not easily broken when it comes to taking constructive criticism. I rather you be honest with me and let me know what I need to improve on, so that I can nail it in the future. I truly am RELENTLESS. We live in a "dog eat dog" world, so while keeping my morals and integrity, I do what I have to do, so that I can be where I want to be. Don't call me, "Mr. SHY-GUY"; I'm far from it. I love to socialize & network with others. Besides all of that, if there is anything I can do to brighten someone else's day, whether it be by lending a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, some dear words of encouragement, and/or something as simple as an impactive smile, it is more than my pleasure to do so. I am a very confident person, but not over-confident. I'm just confident to the point of assurance in myself & all that I bring to the table. Things that I bring to the table include: a unique sense of style; unparalleled musical vision & product; ability to act (willing to go in depth with the exploration of my acting abilities & talents); I'm athletic; dynamic song-writer (this comes in handy for soundtracks, sitcom theme songs, charity events, other promotions, etc.); in my humble opinion, I bring a handsome face & an appealing swagger to match; I'm a good, positive role model to help mentor & direct the youth; I do well with public speaking & performances; Let me be YOUR go-to guy! I ALWAYS DELIVER! Last, but certainly not least, I'm a DREAMER!!! WE ALL ARE!!! It's such a beautiful thing to embrace! LET'S SHINE TOGETHER! Short Resume:
Music Artist/ Actor/ Writer/ Model/ Good Citizen
PROJECTS, MUSIC VIDEOS & PERFORMANCES
-I've released my debut project project, "WHO IS SAM HAYE"; I did an EP entitled, Tree of Life, which showed much more maturity and versatility; I am currently finishing up my second independent LP entitled, Declaration of Independence, which is scheduled for a 1st quarter, 2013 release.
-I've done countless shows; performances in the Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey regions. The sizes of the crowds varied, but my biggest performance, in terms of spectators/fans, was at Caesar Rodney High School, Camden, DE (700 plus people in audience). Here is the link to the Caesar Rodney Performance Video: (http://youtu.be/EfeI0UUdvoo)
-I've released four music videos: "Good Morning, America", "Close The Door", "Go", & "Like Uncle Like Nephew" ("Good Morning, America" is my most popular video to date, with close to 25,000 views on YouTube. It is an emotional patriotic song, that promotes the spirit of unity, pays homage & tribute to the U.S. military, fallen soldiers, & those who have died on Sept. 11, as well as Pearle Harbor. (Here is the link to the "Good Morning, America" music video: http://youtu.be/8IaS1Maf4tM) I've also entered & won the 2011 CHARLIE MACK'S TALENTED TEENS COMPETITION in Philadelphia, PA. After attaining the number one seed during the week of opening auditions, I advanced to the championship round & performed before various celebrity judges. The building hosted a few hundred people in total. I won out of all the rappers. Famous RAPPER/ACTOR, Will Smith presented me with a trophy & a check for $2,500. Another memorable moment, amongst my performances, is when I performed at the 20th Anniversary for LYRICIST LOUNGE, in Manhattan. The venue hosted a couple hundred people. I was introduced to the stage by the hip-hop legend, Doug E. Fresh & the legendary, DJ Kid Capri. Other great legendary artists graced the stage as well.
ACTING WORK & SCRIPT WRITING
-I starred in the new 'B' shirt commercial for the new clothing line, Black Tag Apparel. (Here's the link to the commercial: http://youtu.be/KPX4wbs28XU)
-Not only have I been commended & recognized for my narrating & public speaking abilities, but also for my writing & creativity. I have written & acted in a play for my church. I came up with & wrote the itineraries for two of my music videos, "Good Morning, America" and "Close The Door". "Close The Door" required many acting scenes that I was able to nail, along with the female co-star in the video. Due to us making sure that the storyline completely unfolded, in the amount of time equivalent to that of the song, many acting scenes that were highlights had to be cut. (Here is the link to "Close The Door": http://youtu.be/Bpnugtb5UDI) Also, I completely write my own songs.
-Almost everybody's done some school plays in elementary school. I don't quite remember all of the plays, or the role I played in each, but in third grade, I had the lead role playing a leprechaun. It required being playful, comedic, exuberant, someone who could get the crowd going, as well as being a narrator. ALL of these things seem to come naturally.
MODELING WORK
-I model for one of the hottest, upcoming fashion lines, BLACK TAG APPAREL. I have recently starred in their new 'B' shirt commercial.
-I have done a few amateur fashion shows. One fashion show was for a church event. I've had several photo shoots. A couple of the photo shoots were for my album covers. Other photo shoots were strictly for model shots.
"GOOD CITIZEN"/VOLUNTEER WORK
-Along with the Word of God, the nurture & admonition of my parents have helped to instill great values in me. Ever since I was a child, whether I wanted to or not, my parents made sure that I was well-mannered, that I helped those in need, and that I was appreciative of all things that I was fortunate enough to have; despite how great or how small. When living a lowly life, you learn to put things into righteous perspective; and you learn the importance of making yourself a living sacrifice, so that others may have & be blessed too. I have done volunteer work at Eger's Nursing Home, on Staten Island, New York (borough I was born & raised in). Working with the elderly was a blessing because I learned, firsthand, it brightens up their day when they see & interact with young people. It makes them feel like people still care about them, like they're still important. They begin to relive their youthful days, vicariously. Plus, they just like for people to spend time with them. I've mentored youth. The ages range from kids to my peers. I naturally have that drive, that desire to help bring out the best in people. I would love to be part of Disney's "Friends For Change". I don't care that people say, I'm "too positive". The kids are our future. I want them to know that they CAN have an alternative lifestyle, a positive lifestyle; one that does not define who they are, but rather, they define it. Where I come from, African-Americans "aren't supposed to" do well. They "aren't supposed to" graduate high school. They "ARE supposed to" dropout, sell drugs, die and/or go to jail. I BEAT THE ODDS! I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A STATISTIC! By the grace of God, I am flourishing, and I want to encourage/motivate others, not just African-Americans, to flourish also.
-I've helped to donate to those who are less fortunate, directly & indirectly.
-I cheerfully labor at my church. I've helped to paint the walls of the new building we are relocating to, as well as lifting, loading, and transporting items into the new building.
ALL of this is done as unto the Lord Jesus Christ. The bible says, in Acts 20:35 (KJV) "I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." AMEN.
Be Blessed.
