Musician Information: Born and raised in the city of Chicago (one of the birth places of house music). Shock?s passion for House was by far no secret. His collection of records and mix tapes flooded his shelves. But his obsession didn?t end there, at a young age he had several opportunities to travel to Europe getting an up close look at the notorious European dance scene. This is where 13 year old Shock would experience his first major nightclub. With the bass pumping, crowds cheering and light flashing his attention was pulled to only one spot, the DJ. Not knowing this would later be a validation of his future. After that trip to Europe, the idea of DJing fascinated him. He quickly connected with some friends who owned a Mobile DJ Company named ?Music on the Move?. Starting as only an assistant, Shock was eager to help at every gig possible. Learning everything quickly, he got his chance at his own gig. He later established his own company doing shows for schools, grad parties, small venues, etc... Gaining more experience having one booking after another. At the age of 17, Shock seen the night club scene booming and he wanted in on it. After a few months of working hard getting his skills up, it happened. Shock scored a spot at one of Midwest hottest young adult nightclubs (Zero Gravity). After his first show, he knew this is what he was born to do. All that hard work was starting to pay off. In 2003, DJ Shock, decided to take part in a DJ competition that was held at Jedynka Nightclub, going head to head with some of Chi-Town?s finest. Ranking in the top 8, DJ Shock was inspired to produce his very first mix. This turned out to be a success. The huge hit was released in all record stores in the Chicago area, gaining him recognition and lots of exposure. Shock later went on to record several mixes and holding numerous residencies, definitely making his presence known and opening for several big names in the DJ industry such as: Bad Boy Bill, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Robbie Rivera and etc... Now 23, DJ Shock has held residencies at such prestigious clubs as: Zero Gravity, Vibe Nightclub, Martini Ranch, Religion, Vixen, Four, Wet, Buzz, Hotel Victor, Spoon, Hard Drive, Dragon Room, Destiny Nightclub, Sky 60, Vibe, Roxy to name a few. DJ Shock continues moving forward, never looking back with hope someday it will land him a spot as one of house music?s greatest.
