Musician Information: Alex Boye' (pronounced Boy-ay) was born and raised in London. In the late 1990s, he became the lead singer in the European boy band, Awesome. The group signed a recording contract with Universal Records in 1996, and eventually had hits in over 15 countries, selling over 500,000 CDs. Boye and Awesome performed with such names as Smashing Pumpkins, Backstreet Boys, Missy Elliott, George Michael, Bryan Adams, Mary J. Blige and NSYNC, among others. After a hiatus, Alex has produced a new solo album project of original songs, bringing back the old 'soul power' classic soul revivals, which is making waves with his enigmatic James Brown-esque dance moves, and his 'frontman' hype and swagger.
