About Me: Hello there ! My name is Benze , but on my birth certificate it says Mercedies . I am an aspiring model with ambitions to the roof . I like to think of myself as an role model because of the young ladies that come up to me & say I want to be like you when I grow up . If I can touch a little girls heart , then I know that I can impact a industry . I was born and raised in Brooklyn , NY . I grew up very well with very little but none the less it was a comfortable life . My family is based in South Carolina but also from Panama, so I am very cultured as well . As a youth , I was very athletic , I played a lot of sports . My life simply revolved around basketball but when my father passed in 04 , I vowed that I would leave basketball after high school . I wasn't going to quit because it was my everything but I also couldn't continue . I began to sorted out my other dreams , my other options . I saw myself pursuing modeling until I can't anymore . I've been told NO! quite a few times , but NO's dont bother me anymore . I have this attitude that has been very supportive when circumstances like that hit the fan . I just can never give up because I can't give up on myself . I was born in the heart of NYC , Brooklyn . NY . I am Mercedies , a one of a kind , divine and blessed young woman !

Short Resume: For starters as a young girl , I was featured as a jolly kid in a GAP commercial . I have done promo for MACYS as well . As I got older , I've worked with MPC ( Modern Pop Culture ) which is a vintage boutique owned by Holly Ann Ross located in Chicago and in Syracuse , NY . I was spotted in the mall , this is why I always felt as first impressions , no matter if you're face to face with a person . they are everything .
As I progressed , I started working with photographers and networking .
I continued paving the way for myself working with the wonderful ladies of Punk & Pearl . I had a chance to be in a fashion show hosted by Jennifer Williams ( who appears on the show Basketball Wives ) , the ex wife of Eric Williams , who at the time was also introducing her line .
In late 2010 , I hooked with Outre which is one of the best hair suppliers out , it's a nationwide product . You can find me on www.outre.com . As of right now , you can walk into any hair supply store & my face will grace Timeless All in One weave packages . Outre really opened my eyes because since then I've worked in various locations with them such as Las Vegas , Florida & also in NYC .
My cousin who happens to be a former FORD MODEL has become a talented artist & with that I am always there to assist and play roles in her videos . That was a joy being behind the scenes and also in the scenes . I have a different respect for the people who work behind the scenes because I've done so as well .
While doing so , I've lend my expertise to a young designer name Bilaya Jackson who I am sure will make a mark in this industry .
I've worked on a couple of music videos playing the lead role or as an extra .
As of 2012 , I was able to work with NBC Studios on a live segment with Essence Magazine for the " Fashions of the 20's " . I was featured along with 3 other models who displayed the looks of the 20's for Ms Constance , the Editor and Chief of Essence Magazine . It was a great honor meeting Ms.Constance because as a young black woman I grew up with Essence Magazines on my table . It was honor working with her and experiencing something so cool like that .
I have also gotten the chance to work with Roz Morris , an upcoming designer .I was able to be apart of a look book and a presentation . Networking is pleasurable .

As of late , I was just booked as a model for Last Look Academy . It's a makeup school .
I've walked for Edwing De'Angelo , as small as it was , I again was honored . To be in the presence of an exquisite person such as himself , was a pleasure .
In the midst of it all , I remain hard working and dedicated . I am an all around young woman , very versatile and I take what I do seriously because if I don't , then you wont ! I'm here to leave an impression and I will do just that .
