Lauren Rice's Modeling Jobs, Acting Auditions and Additional Experience
Hi my name is Lauren an I though I'd tell you a little about myself. I was born in Anderson SC. People have told me that I was always a very energetic as a child. I either somewhere playing to myself and creating these little games or climbing a tree! lol I've never been the kind of girl to just sit around, I love to create activities for kids and for myself. All the children in my family and at my church tell their parents they love when Lauren keeps them, and I use to wonder why? Then I discovered it's because I would always put on some kind of show for them or have them act out little things like little plays and things to keep them busy. Oh, the fun I have with children because there minds are so creative in more ways then one. I also love to sing. Oh, now I'm don't like to talk about myself because I find it embarrassing, but everytime I go somewhere with my schools or with my church I have to sing something. I love to sing most of my inspiration comes from God and several other important people in my life who always encouraged me to move forward in my life. So many artist I've fallen completely in love with; there's of course Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Jennifer Hudson, Pattie Labelle, just to name a few female artist that truly inspire me. I love classic jazz, big fan of classic gospel and moderate gospel. Now I've talked a lot about music so I guess your wondering what is she taking up in college. Lol I'm a music education major in college. I think that if children get the early education of basic music skills when they get to college they will know what to expect and be well aware of what is to come there way. There are several other things I love to do umm.. I love to go to the beach, spending time with my family and friends, and cooking. Notice that I mentioned cooking last. I was originally going to go to school for culinary, but acting and singing are a big part of my heart. I may not be the best actress in the world, but I think I can do anything if just giving the chance. I've acted in several different little plays going all the way back to the early 90s like 93 when I was two years old. My church is very active with our youth. Christmas and all through the church for every little event that comes along with are either having a concert or a plays to help celebrate something. Well, I start acting in the Sunshine Band. When we would have Easter and Christmas programs all the children would have to memorize a recitation and all the songs the motions to the songs and if you had a line in a play you had to memorize that as well. lol Yea that's lot for a 2-14 year to memorize. I did that for the first 12years of my life and I really miss it. When you turn 14 you kind of graduate from sunshine band. Next came the purity club, another youth group in my church. We would do plays throughout the year sometimes just to do them. We always do a black history play! Now that's fun!! The lady who produces/directs it lets us add lip so we just have a good time with it! So about to years ago...hahaha. We did a black history play and my cousin who is mixed played my white friend who was teaching me how to read. So the scene was she was in the house teaching me how to read and her mother comes in the house and fines us together reading. This is the night of the play mind you. And her mother said you " my daughter can't be a nigger lover" and me being the silly person that I am start acting like nettie and screaming "WHY WHY"!! Lol then me and her started singing me and you us never part...lol it was fun!! Wow sometimes I don't know when to shut up right! lol but that's all I guess there is to know about me. I'm a very down to earth kind of girl and I'm not shy even though people seem to think so. I strongly believe that if it's God will I will get my dream.
