Musician Information: Motivated, talented and spiritual are three words that best describe me. My name is LaTorri Richardson from Fort Worth, TX. Music is my life. I play the drums, guitar, keyboards, sing, lead praise and worship, mime, dance, and compose. My main instrument is drums. I've been playing since I was 11 years old. I started playing in church, high school and college. I played in church. I also learned to read music and I can also play by ear. In high school I was drum captain all four years. I received many awards and accolades for my expertise. My senior year in high school I taught the drum line for the middle school nearby. While in college I started singing soprano for UNT's Voices of Praise for one year. I then moved on to play drums for the group for two years and in my final year I played guitar. After college, I continued to play for many local churches and groups in the area along with producing my own band and gospel group. I also play for events, parties, and I provide drum lessons. My genres include Gospel, R&B, Hip hop, Jazz and Rock. I'm known for being the left handed female drummers in Fort Worth. Recently, I had a lead role in a stage play and won the best actress award. This was a very interesting experience for me, I loved every minute of it. I also love to make people laugh and be a little dramatic at times so that I paint the picture of what I am talking about to others.
