Musician Information: KIMBERLY MICHAELS, Pop, Jazz, Rock, R&B Singer was born in Seoul, South Korea, as Park Sung Hee. She was found on a doorstep at birth, was adopted & became a native Minnesotan at 6-months old, growing up in a Swedish-Norwegian Lutheran family in a suburb called Minnetonka. She began Classical Piano Training at Age 4 & learned Music Theory at age 7. As a teenager, she would write & sing music as an outlet for her angst before there was a name for the Genre – alternative rock. She did coffee houses with bands in high school. Entered talent shows, won All State-Regional contests & performed in Musicals. At age 19, Kimberly wrote & recorded in LA with Ray Charles daughter, Sheila Ray. She also worked with The Debarges, and Wayne Vaughn (Earth Wind & Fire). Years later, she returned to LA & sang with Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Etta James, Ebony Taye, Alexander O'Neal, Cherelle & Benji Vereen, to name a few. In Minneapolis, she's opened for Lionel Richie, Karen White, Carole King, and Frankie Beverly & Maze. For the past several years, she’s been a Professional Corporate & Commercial Vocalist, and Private Voice Teacher. She gigs with the popular Corporate Twin Cities Band 'The R-Factor' (formerly Ruperts Orchestra), and a few others where she performs at Nightclubs, Jazz Clubs, Restaurants, Corporate Events, Festivals, Fundraisers & Wedding Receptions. She donates her time to working with Adopted kids, performing for their fundraisers & events – usually Children’s Home Society, NoPAK Org, MAKA & The Adopted Korean Connection. Currently, she is finishing her originally written Solo CD, which should release independently in April of 2011.
