Dancer background: I have been dancing since the age of 4. I currently attend Jam Hops Dance Connection and study Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, and Ballet. I perform in group numbers along with solos. I have received many special awards for my work as a soloist. I also love classical ballet. I attend Ballet Minnesota in St. Paul for training. The focus is ballet and point. Through the school we have opportunity to perform in many pieces. In 2011 I was choosen as the principal part of Clara for the Nutcracker. I am curently in their advanced level 7 and perform 3 pieces a year with the company dancers.
Influences: It is hard to pick 1 or 2 people who helped influence my dancing. My parents have always been supportive and I have had great teachers encouraging me along in my quest as a performer. I have really looked up to Oksana a principal dancer in the company. She is a great role model and moves gracefully through all her dance moves.
