DR Melo aka MR Melo aka Thee Promo Machine: Jose Reyes Jr, was born in EPT aka Chuco Town; El Paso, Texas September 29 to Elvira and Jose Sr. followed by his sister Daisy. Played high school baseball with Texas Rangers Shortstop; future gold glove, Omar Quintanilla.

When:
Graduated from Socorro High School and immediately joined the military in 2000. Served with the 173rd in 2003 in Kirkuk, Iraq; chose to pass up one of the few Airborne jumps in history. He gave the once in a life time opportunity to one of his pals, because he wasn’t to enthused about the idea and felt as if he did not deserve to take away such an occasion from someone that was waiting for something as important as this. At times he comments in a joking manner, “I declined history because I wanted to make my own, LOL!” While in Iraq, DR Melo met R&B singer BIANCO from Houston, Texas. Even with such predicament, BIANCO continued working on his music, and DR Melo began to work with him. While using the time as productive as possible and under the influence of BIANCO; DR Melo learned more about the professional way to do business, the music industry, and picked up tips on how to sing for audiences. After Iraq DR Melo chauffeured for BIANCO in Italy and the auntorouge of Charolastras. After a short period attending performances with BIANCO, DR Melo relocated to Colorado. Finishing his service with the National Guard, he met talented new comer M.R.S and DamonStration in 2004. Inspired by the young talent, he decided to continue what some had mentioned before about his singing; and with them created A.D.A.P.T. (As Deep As Poetry Team). In 2008 DR Melo met JOSEPH JUNIORR from YOUNG KING NATION and was featured on one of JR’s authentic beats…here on the story continues to develop till reaching his destiny in life… ....to be CONTINUED….

Where:
Raised in EPT and stationed in North Carolina then Italy, DR Melo traveled to Germany (his favorite), London, England, and Pamplona, Spain. He loves to travel and is eagerly awaiting his big break to visit his long admired destinations: Japan, Brazil, and Jamaica. He enjoys chatting with people, loves to learn new languages, and loves learning about different cultures. He is very multicultural and continues to open his mind to other life styles; especially music. After finishing his active duty status, he decided to relocate to Colorado to help his grandmother. Now he resides in Denver, CO; at this time he is working towards touring and traveling in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Sometime in the future he is looking forward to purchasing a ranch some where in Colorado or Texas.

Why:
DR Melo loves music because it has always been there for him through the hard, lonely, tough times. As a young child he wanted to sing, but because of the family circumstances could not attend competitions, or even put time into singing. Family issues also affected his personal life and belief in ever making music, yet the desire to entertain, inspire, and help people; still dwelled inside his heart. As the issues grew, he was determined to change his life style and moved away through the military. Learning new ideas, seeing new places, and meeting new people helped him grasp new ideals from a different perspective; then on, acquiring courage, leadership skills, and respect for life. These new conditions began to transform him into the man that he is; yet constantly evolving into a new man daily. He is a very family oriented gentleman with old school morals, manners, business like demeanor; and at the appropriate times jester like. Like he always says; “Mom brainwashed me,LOL!” People, are one of his top priorities in life and at times become more important than he. He is a loving, dedicated man waiting for the PERFECT aka; the right women for him to settle down and raise a family with someday. For now, his attention is completely set on his music, impacting people in a positive manner, and his career.
