About Me:
Lu’Mi’Naughty, was born in Bronx, New York in the summer of 1984. Jazmin Despaigne by birth was raised in Washington Heights located in upper Manhattan. She is a multifaceted artist with experience in modeling, dancing and rapping. She has an uncanny ability to combine various genres in her music, no doubt partially influenced by her Puertorican and Cuban heritage. These include Hip Hop, Rap, Reggaeton, Pop, Latin and Dance hall. At the age of 15 Lu’Mi’Naughty joined Produccion Criminal/Criminal Type Production. Her innate ability to combine different genres lead to Lu’Mi'Naughty’s emergence as the First Lady of the group, CTP, Controllando the People known as J-Anonymiss AKA J'Dez. Lu’Mi’Naughty, like many people, had to grow up in a volatile neighborhood. She was exposed to an environment where it was not safe to walk down the street because of drive by shootings, random violence and the drug game. Musician Information: Jazmin Despaigne by birth, Lu'Mi'Naughty was (born July 5th 1984), Born in Bronx New York, but raised in Washington Heights, upper Manhattan, (commonly known by her stage names “J’Dez AKA Lu'Mi'Naughty”) is not just another ordinary Rap artist. Uniquely multi-talented are the terms that define Lu'Mi'Naughty. She is a Model/ Dancer/ Rapper. Not only is she a rapper, but a rapper of different genres. Ultimately adding her uniqueness, by using her Latina and Caribbean roots, she branched out to the Dance Hall and Reggaeton genres. Showing to the world how diverse she can be. Modeling and dancing all at the same time, Lu'Mi'Naughty shows the world every one of her sides and what makes Lu'Mi'Naughty the artist she is. Growing up on the dangerous streets of Washington Heights, Manhattan New York, living around violence, drugs, and drive-bys. Using her pen to escape reality, Lu'Mi'Naughty began writing poetry. Poetic words written based on the struggles she endured growing up, the pain, and heartaches. At age 15 she became a part of the independent Production Company “Produccion Criminal/Criminal Type Production.” It was here where she channeled her feelings, and her poetry evolved into music. Becoming the First Lady of the group called: C.T.P (Controlando The People), under her old stage name: “J-Anonymiss,” moved crowds and audiences at showcases with her music, style, swag, and dances. Her style being so unique, her dance moves mixed with the Caribbean feel and the passion she has for the entertainment Industry is very well demonstrated through her actions and performances. It isn’t common to see a rap artist branch out into several different Genres. Lu'Mi'Naughty states: "I'm coming for it all, I mean, i'm an All in One...a NEW BREED OF FEMALE EMCEE" Combining Reggaeton and Dance Hall, with Lu'Mi'Naughty's sassy Dance Hall Swagger, her signature winding takes the stage.
