Jamaica E. Cook-Dennis
July 8, 1981 in Peoria, Illinois Jamaica E. Cook was born to Davida Cook. Since the age of 6 she has always known she was blessed with a phenomenal talent to sing. She incorporated her own writing abilities in her work by the age of 10. She decided to exercise her wonderful voice in the Peoria Fellowship Choir with Pastor John Wright at the age of 14; thus seizing the opportunity to travel to many big cities.
By 17 it was time for a change of scenery; Jamaica then moved to the expansive Atlanta, Georgia. After the tragic loss of her first-born son from viral meningitis she ceased her singing passion. Later after two successful births she was inspired to sing again; bearing Norjanae and Nordetra Miller also inspired her writing. Recording in various studios since she had finally hit home with Beatmachinaz Productions LLC and Str8 Numb3rs Entertainment, where her first notable songs were produced: F**K That B**LS**T, Lifetime, and Be Wit Me.
Now with her eyes on the prize, she is married and lives happily with her children. Look out there is now a new illustrious talent out there and her name is Jamaica.
Special thanks and inspirations go to God, mom, dad, all the kids, husband (aka Big Daddy), all the people who’ve known she would make it, and last but not least her cousin who has helped with the bulk of work: David Brown (aka Big Tedi).
