The Black Swan
Nina Sayers (Laurin Masci in costume in the picture) is a pure and dedicated ballerina who just got the role of Swan Queen in the ballet of Swan Lake. However, she is told that she is told that she is too perfect and she needs to lose herself and embody the character of the swan, and so she does, a little too much! She is dancing the role of both the white swan and the evil black swan twin. She has no success as the white swan but when she turns into the black swan she loses herself so much, becomes so evil and as she dances she seduces the other dancers and the audience,as her eyes turn red, that of an evil being, and she begins to sprout the actual wings of the black swan itself. A beautiful, yet insidious and destructive being who has achieved her goal of coming out for all to see. Goodbye Nina. Hello Black Swan!
