About Me: I used to always label myself as an editor never admitting that I was a photographer at heart. I used to beg my mom for disposable cameras as a girl but I always managed to get my finger in each image so my mom said I to save a buy my own camera. It was a devastating blow but with the terrible photos I was taking I completely understood my mothers decision. Luckily my mom enjoyed photography and purchased Photoshop Elements. I spent countless time editing random photos on that old program and because of it I decided to enroll in an after-school photography class in high school. I loved it so much that I spent all my graduation money and worked hard the summer before college to buy a Nikon. I went to college in 2009 with the intent of becoming a nurse but I just couldn’t shake my artistic side so I enrolled in a photography elective class and absolutely loved it. However, as much as I loved it my professor told me that I needed to get a new hobby. It was really hard to hear but I just accepted it. The summer of 2010 I went to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and documented life there. That summer changed my life and with my brothers encouragement I enrolled in a different school and earned my Photography degree in December of 2012. Photography is what I love, my passion, and I couldn’t imagine spending my life any other way. I love both sides of photography and having had people model for me and using myself as a subject I'm extremely interested in modeling as well. I have modeled for fellow photography students as well as hair modeled for a friend in beauty school.
