Rikki Lake was 19 when she was cast for the role in “Hairspray.” The reason she won the part is that she was overweight at the time and the role called for a plus size model. Playtex is currently running a bra campaign featuring plus size models and “Mike and Molly” is a new hit television show featuring plus size actors. To become a plus size model the first thing you need to do is develop a professional modeling portfolio that includes a head shot, several body shots and a resume. |
