The three (3) act play, The Arab Spring, presents arguments not harmoniously agreed to by the powers who can, and often manipulate the news, we see and hear about in our everyday lives on television. Any manipulation in reporting any news event can have repercussions in the world so well connected through politics, economics, cultures and are highly cognizant of each others need to maintain some form of national security that it is not always truthful or wholly honest.
Role # 1 - MUHAMMAD HESHAM

Muhammad Hesham…At 5 ft-10 inches tall and weighing 200 lbs., This current Ambassador from Egypt after the Arab Spring of 2011, Muhammad is trying to convey his thoughts to the Western World. A father of two (2) children (Muhammad 17 and Sara 15), Muhammad is trying to hammer out a deal with the West in accordance with the wishes of the Egyptian military currently in charge of Egypt. Speaking fluent English without any visible accent and educated in Harvard University with a Ph. D., in World Politics, Muhammad can be tough minded and is part of a new and lasting order the Natiuon of Egypt is looking to embark upon, after the peaceful overthrow of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. There is conflict between the Western Powers and the interpretation of what the Egyptian revolution was all about after Mubarak. A devoted Sunni Muslim, Muhammad is well respected in many circles throughout the Middle Eastern nations as Muhammad Hesham is trying to make a point of view known for future relations between the West and most of northern Africa, especially Egypt. The interview between Muhammad Hesham and Meredith Cabot on national television will become a major event for the television public throughout the United States. Long Island, New York, residents required. Rehearsals and performances to be conducted in Northport, New York, over a 6 week period in the late Spring of 2013.

At thirty (30) years old, Meredith has a reputation with the public as someone who delivers the news in a truthful and first hand look at the other side of any news story. Meredith is a graduate of the Yale University School of Journalism and graduated in the top five percent (5%) of her graduating class. Raised as a strict Catholic, Meredith, 5’4” in height, tries to balance any news story by offering both sides in the hopes of delivering the news over WNKR-TV in New York in a fair an honest appraisal of current events. Meredith is seen as a future news anchor for the late night news broadcast. With three brothers and no sisters, Meredith had to fight to be heard growing up in a German/English family structure.
