Andrew Wyke is an acclaimed writer of detective novels; an eccentric character with an abounding intellect. Milo Tindle is a young attractive man of Italian decent.
Belonging to an immigrant family Milo has had to work hard to establish himself within society. Milo intends to marry Wykes ex-wife. Wyke invites Milo to his mansion to discuss a proposition which would leave the two of them profiting. However, Wykes true intentions are soon revealed, leading to a plot of crime, double crossing, manipulation, deceit, revenge and murder
