Opera Fairbanks needs a few more rugged gold miner type men to sing in the chorus of the world premiere of "The Color of Gold" by Emerson Eads.
The performances, fully staged and with orchestra on March 14, 15 and 16 at Pioneer Park, will help open the Arctic Winter Games.
The opera needs male singers (tenor, baritone and bass), ages 15 and over, to portray the hearty miners who developed the gold fields of the Fairbanks area in 1904. Music rehearsals will begin Tuesday, Feb 4. All vocalist positions are paid.
