Cledus Snow Mother Truckers needs a permanent drummer.
We play Truckerbilly/Hillbilly/Raw Country/Cowpunk music, both covers and originals. We practice EVERY Sunday in Gettysburg PA.
We play shows basically "every other" weekend, and are beginning to book shows now, for 2014. Our last show for 2013 is in Gettysburg in late October. After that we'll be recording and getting ready for the new year. We have 2 guitars, two vocals, upright bass and harmonica along with other instruments as needed. We've been playing shows without a drummer just fine, but we'd still like to have percussion so we can play all of our originals. We've had no luck with drummers this year but we want to try one more time. We'd like to have someone who can play simply and tastefully (and fast when necessary...think Hank III). We don't need a ton of fills. A good meter, a good "train" beat and the ability to groove is what we really want. We MUST have someone who is able to control their technique and keep up. An understanding of volume appropriateness is also an absolute must!. We would prefer a small kit (we have a nice one here) and the ability to play with different stick types (multi-rods/brushes as well as traditional drumsticks) is necessary. Some shows (in smaller venues) may require a snare/hi-hat/crash-ride cymbal set-up or even a washboard/hi-hat.
