Band manager creating a new group to bring fresh faces and new talent to the Orlando area. I am currently manager of a house band that plays for a jazz wine bar and I'm looking to start up another group. This band will play similar music to the other band (contemporary jazz, blues, funk, soul and R&B), but I want to create a brand with the new band, so the song selection will be identified once we get the players together. This is an opportunity to showcase not only your musical talent, but your creative abilities in performance, song selection, and style. The band will be mostly cover songs, but I'm hoping to find musicians who have the ability to create originals as well. This will be a WORKING band, so expect to come to rehearsals and have PAID gigs on a regular basis. The band will start out performing in the Orlando area and will work its way outward, as far as they want to go!
I currently have a drummer, but would need an alternate most of the time, due to his schedule.
Also, I'll be needing:
*Vocalist (male &/or female)
*Bass player (upright or electric or both)
*Keyboard player
*Horn players (trumpet, sax, trombone...any of these are options)
*Guitar player (acoustic or electric or both)
*Specialty instruments (harmonica, percussion and any others that aren't listed, basically)
**IMPORTANT** All musicians MUST BE experienced and professional. I already have the first gig lined up, all I need are the players. |
