Casting call for a reliable and committed actors in a compelling film about a young man's experiences with Islamophobia.

The film centers on Hassan, a 17 year-old Pakistani Muslim young man who experiences bullying at school and struggles to discover his identity. Amidst the growing climate of Islamophobia, he faces challenges in maintaining his friendships, his relationship with teachers, and his relationship with his mother. This emotionally driven and powerful film aspires to break stereotypes about South Asians and Muslims, as well as promote deeper understanding across communities. While the film is low-budget, the director has won a couple of awards in the past and the film will be submitted to film festivals nationwide. Due to our limited budget, compensation will be provided for transportation and food. You will be contributing to an important cause and help break stereotypes!

We are looking for a reliable South Asian actress to play the part of Hassan's mother. She is a strong, independent, and hardworking single mother in her early 40s. Her character does not wear a hijab/headscarf, but still self-identifies as a devout and practicing Muslim. The actress doesn't have to be 40, but MUST be able to pass for 40. The actress must also be able to speak Urdu/Hindi and English fluently.
