Black Women Unscripted: A Young Girl’s Journey Towards Truth is a provocative new documentary that seeks to examine the impact of mainstream media on the psyche and self image of young girls of color. Through compelling interviews, girls/young women ages 12 –18 will share their personal perspectives on the portrayal of African American women and girls in media and its affect on their behavior, educational attainment, and role in society. The documented stories provide a platform for young girls of color - who are often left out of the discussion - to speak on social issues that impact them directly. From them we will learn about their fears, dreams, and aspirations.

We are looking for girls who are engaging, funny and smart who will play themselves in the film and offer insight into what it’s like being a middle or high school student dealing with issues like peer pressure, violence in school and the neighborhood, family problems and image issues. We also want to know your thoughts on social media, television shows and music videos. The film will be shot from YOUR point of view which means you get to talk freely about all the things that are important to you!

View My Website		 I have only been with Explore Talent for one month and great things are happening already! I did a movie trailer with actor/writer/producer Walker Howard which was a lot of fun and I gained a lot of knowledge about making a film and being on set!
