Angelia Performing Arts Studio is seeking Part time Dance Instructors for our summer program held June 12, 2013 through August 16, 2013 at our Raleigh and Concord North Carolina sites.
Our Summer Dance Instructors will teach 2 hours a day, 5 days a week.
APAS Summer Dance Camp instructor requirements:
• Deliver an exciting variety of teaching sessions.
• Provide individual coaching and advice to the students in the area of Dance.
• Plan and prepare all lessons in accordance with the programs aims and objectives.
• Maintain order and discipline among students.
• Prepare students for the production at the end of the summer term.
• Liaising with the music staff regarding end of summer production.
• Instructors must also be able to interact and work well with parents and other staff.
• *Must love kids, dancing, and teaching.
• Instructors may also be involved in the duties of planning, enriching, and structured daily activities.
• Individual must be able to prepare a routine for each group for a production on August 16, 2013.
• Must have experience teaching- ability to teach various styles of dance.
• All applicants must be able to legally work in the United States and be available for the entire program which is June 12, 2013 - August 16, 2013. (We are closed July 4-5, 2013 for observance of Independence Day).
• Individual must be strong, energetic, and fun instructors with a dynamic personality in jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical/contemporary, and ballet, beginner thru advanced, for recreational and competition students ages 5-10 (Camp 1 group) and 10-15 (Camp 2 group)
Qualifications:
• Five years of study with a public or private dance instructor and/or completion of a college dance program.
• Three years of experience teaching dance
• Knowledge of communication techniques
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to demonstrate basic to intermediate steps in tap, ballet, jazz or other specialty
• Validation of Background check |
