We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic combined with creativity and a keen interest in the digital video production industry. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. Interns must possess a willingness to work as part of a team in any capacity from administration work to creative brainstorming. Add on to your internship experience by attending all our on-location documentary style shoots and promotional events. These experiences are so beneficial to your career growth-- they are required. Internship Job Requirements
The internship requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Hours range from 9am--7pm, Monday through Friday. Some weekend hours will be required. There is no pay associated with the internship and to qualify the student must receive college credit for the experience.
Spring/Summer Internships Available:
PRODUCTION INTERN--The Producer Track
Get first-hand exposure or hands-on experience in careers such as Production Assistant, Producer, Editor, Director, Audio Technician, Technical Director, Camera Operators and other production related jobs. Learn about each phase of production as we work to ensure that all our productions are carried out smoothly and broadcast successfully. Put your skills and knowledge to work and assist our team as we produce promotional videos, field productions and more. Typical intern responsibilities include researching current events and local businesses for our digital video productions, assisting field shoots, logging footage, writing scripts as well as other administrative tasks. Depending on the intern's skill level, they may have the opportunity to write, produce, edit or shoot their own project.
OPERATIONS INTERN (Junior/ Senior and Business Major preferred)
In this position a qualified intern would learn the ins and outs of running a production company from an operations and strategy stand point. The Operations intern works closely with the CEO and Senior Adviser of NMM to assist in the research and initiation of strategic planning and positioning of the organization.
MARKETING INTERN
Marketing interns will help with all levels of promotion and company productions advertising/marketing. This includes organizing and updating the press for contact information, sending press releases, compiling metrics and data, organizing and analyzing advertising and sponsorship opportunities as it relates to outside advertising campaigns in spreadsheet form, working with vendors and media reps, and behind the scenes social media marketing at productions. Interns are required to attend promotional events.
WEB INTERN (Satellite Position)
We are a Digital Media production company; the web is our bread and butter! Our web intern will be knee-deep in the ongoing evolution of NMM's and our production's presence across multiple platforms. They'll assist in the daily population and creation of web content, and help support our active online community, plus they can also help out and learn about other departments. Applicant must have light experience with web development or web design, and experience tinkering with social media. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP are all great, but by no means required.
