About Ketchikan Theatre Ballet
Ketchikan Theatre Ballet, founded in 1961, is Alaska's oldest dance school. Currently this non-profit dance school offers classes in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz to approximately 175 students.
The Artistic Director is responsible for organizing and choreographing for all of these performances.
The Artistic Director will also be responsible for teaching and rehearsing between 18-24 hours/week. The Director will teach the top four levels of Ballet, three levels of pointe and rehearse and oversee the student company. The Director will also oversee the Business Manager as well as the other instructors. Knowledge in other disciplines is a plus. Knowledge in technical theater is also a plus.
