The Graphic Designer position is full-time, working to create and manage the theater's creative services projects. The position reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications and is responsible for maintaining high quality standards and ensuring the consistency of The Rep brand in communication channels, both internal and external.
The Graphic Designer responsibilities include:
Design ads, brochures, multi-page publications, direct mail and invitations
Design displays and signage
Create assets for The Rep's website
Assist in video production
Assist in photo shoots
Position is 70% implementing existing designs/images and templates. Position requires the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, upward of 5 to 7 daily, and requires weeknight and weekend availability.
3-5 years design in design office or freelance design experience
Strong design and production skills. Ability to develop multiple directions for print and web
Strong aesthetic sense with in-depth knowledge of color, layout, typography, corporate identity, branding, print production and printing process
Understanding of creative process and marketing communications
Ability to deliver compelling and technically accurate design and production files on schedule and on budget
Ability to work well in a close-knit team environment with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to excel in a high-volume, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
Must be organized, self-motivated and able to multitask while meeting deadlines
Prior experience managing full cycle of design through delivery, including management of vendor relationships, which include printers, designers and illustrators
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Degree in graphic design or equivalent experience
