Twelve-year old brain cancer patient, Taylon, got her dying wish to dance and sing with singer Beyoncé during the Las Vegas leg of the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.
According to New York Daily News, the Philanthropy Program Partnerships (PPP) posted a video of the performance on the YouTube account of the former Destiny Child member on Christmas Eve.
Ivy McGregor, who spoke for the organization, said in the video that Taylon is suffering from an inoperable brain tumor and it was her “dying wish” to be able to “dance with Beyoncé”.
McGregor also revealed Taylon’s words that will forever stay with her, which goes, “tomorrow’s not promised, next week’s not promised, but right now I’m here and since I’m here, I might as well live”.
During the show, the superstar gave the young girl a huge hug and a kiss before she sang “Survivor”, a Destiny Child hit about fighting it out in life.
In a report released on Hollywood Life, it was also said how Taylon enjoyed fist-pumping and singing with Beyoncé during the “Survivor” song. She was reported to have expressed her shock and excitement over the granting of her wish to CBS Local News.
“I was like ‘Mom, this is real?’ I’m actually seeing her and she’s talking to me and I get to sing with her and dance with her. This is really real,” Taylon enthused. “I was shaking, I was so nervous. I didn’t wanna be speechless because this was my wish and I wanted to talk to her. I wasn’t scared to dance or sing,” the young girl added.
Beyoncé granted Taylon’s wish through a partnership she made with the Make a Wish Foundation. This was not the only Yuletide surprise the singer handed out recently as she also gave out gift certificates worth $50 to Walmart shoppers just before Christmas day.
