In Dillon SC the CEO of the SLOWPOKE FOUNDATION was brought up as a young country boy that already had a gift upon his life. I guess you would call it “A calling”. He was born diagnosed with the trait of sickle cell anemia, asthma, allergies, and just about anything else you can name. It’s said to be, he spent about the first 3 years of his life in a hospital. His mother who was also born in Dillon SC, 1 of 16 children, was very protective over her baby boy. She wouldn’t let him go outside because of the fears that went along with his health conditions. She always dressed him nice, platted his hair (which was one of his least favorite things for her to do) showered him with pets, like birds, chickens etc… anything a young country mother could afford. There was a time he couldn’t even take medicine because of his health conditions. He wasn’t even expected to live past the age of 3 and kids of this condition usually didn’t make it past the age of 10. If you asked him as a lad what were a couple to 3 of the things he remembered most of the things about this God sent life he would probably say, … “Spending birthdays in the hospital and his 1st Christmas where he received his 1st toy”.

All of a sudden a miracle was born. All the bad conditions that he had suffered in his early life had mysteriously disappeared. For those who know him personally know that he indentified this as God taking his problems and washing him clean of all life’s troubles. I guess as he would call it God taking control - a display of spiritual power. So now without the diagnosis or any worries that he would have to bother with as far his health, he had the opportunity to grow up as a normal child, and right along with a normal childhood, there came normal issues that anybody who is anybody is subject to. These included problems in school (which his mom was very strong about education), hanging with the wrong crowds and being mislead. Pretty much not indulging in the full power that was upon his life. He barely graduated from high school (that was a miracle all in its own that God had displayed to him) as a matter of fact that was a deal he made with God. He said “If I graduate high school I know You are real”. One week after graduation he suffered being shot and the Lord came speaking to him just as if He were right there in his face… “ANOTHER encounter with God”. But that wasn’t the ending story to his negative run-ins with society; he was also detained by the law on various occasions where God had to intervene and break the chains to allow him a second chance on life time and time again. So if you can follow the events of his life God never stopped coming to his rescue. He was truly saved in the arms of God, after jail time, run ins with the streets, and just having a misconception that the royalty of a man was the inheritance of God.

Where is he at now? If you asked him, he would just say “Watch God”. He loves everything that God has shown him about this life, about where you can be brought from, where you can be and about how God can take you from nowhere to everywhere and allow you to be everything. His goal in life is to allow God’s presence to be observed in the natural realm and to allow His love to be displayed. So let us conclude this briefing with one of his personal statements and spiritual messages, as he would say, “Just watch God”….
